DI MARTINO GROUP AND CIRCUMETNEA RAILWAY: AN AGREEMENT FOR MORE SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
A new shuttle service will connect the Monte Po metro station to Comer Sud’s offices in Misterbianco. The Di Martino Group will provide participating employees with a free public transport pass and a dedicated shuttle service to take them to work.
Misterbianco (Catania) – A new step towards more sustainable, accessible corporate mobility that better addresses employees’ needs. The Di Martino Group and Ferrovia Circumetnea (FCE) have signed an agreement aimed at encouraging the use of public transport for the daily commutes of employees working at Comer Sud’s offices in Misterbianco.
The initiative seeks to make the connection between Catania’s metro network and the workplace more convenient.
Making the initiative even more significant is the Di Martino Group’s decision to provide free metro passes to employees who choose to take part in the project.
A tangible benefit designed to simplify daily commutes between home and work, encourage greater use of public transport and offer employees an alternative to relying on private cars for their everyday journeys.
The project is part of a corporate vision that places people’s well-being, social responsibility and environmental awareness at its heart. Promoting shared mobility solutions means contributing to more efficient commuting, with potential benefits for traffic management and a reduced environmental impact.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Cav. Angelo Di Martino, President of the Di Martino Group, and Filippo Interlicchia, CEO of Comer Sud S.p.A., representing the Di Martino Group; and, on behalf of Ferrovia Circumetnea, Director General Eng. Salvatore Fiore and Administrative Director Dr. Mario Lo Bello.
The agreement represents an example of collaboration between the business community and the public transport system, with the shared aim of developing practical solutions to meet the mobility needs of the local community.
Through this initiative, the Di Martino Group reaffirms its commitment to investing in people and promoting a development model in which innovation, sustainability and quality of working life go hand in hand.
