Niinivirta – the First Mercedes Benz eActros in Italy

At the Let Expo (Logistics Eco Transport) 2023 fair, held in Verona, Maurizio Pompei, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Italia, honored Mario and Fabio Di Martino from Catania with a distinctive record, together with Mario Di Martino from Piacenza, responsible for the the company F.lli Di Martino S.p.A.
The recognition was awarded for the debut of the first Mercedes Benz eActros electric truck on the Italian market, embellished with a commemorative plaque delivered in an act of heartfelt gratitude.
This epochal distinction represents a well-deserved tribute to Niinivirta SpA, a company of the Martino Group, as a courageous company that has paved the way for electric-powered heavy transport in Italy.
In tune with the eco-friendly vision of the Di Martino Group, Niinivirta was the pioneer in the field of urban deliveries, embracing exclusively electric-powered vehicles.
Their priority mission has been to shape sustainable transport solutions, helping to improve air quality and alleviate the impact of urban traffic.
The versatility of the Niinivirta fleet is evident: from compact vehicles for intricate urban distributions to sophisticated vehicles equipped with a “hook-off” system to optimize loading and unloading operations.
Particular attention is dedicated to the distribution of clothing and hanging items, highlighting operational flexibility.
The provision of on-board 7 kW, 22 kW or 44 kW chargers allows charging at main distribution hubs and other external locations, demonstrating a tangible commitment towards sustainable electrification.
Each vehicle is equipped with a dual GPS control system, ensuring precise localization, maximum safety and the possibility of remote control, reinforcing the commitment to operational safety and logistical efficiency.
