F.lli Di Martino alongside the Confraternity of Maria S.S. Addolorata for the Jubilee 2025.
Di Martino Group is deeply honored to announce that F.lli Di Martino, a Catania-based company belonging to the namesake group and active in the field of international transport and logistics, has been entrusted by the Confraternity of Maria S.S. Addolorata with the complex and delicate task of transporting the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows from Enna to Rome, on the occasion of the Jubilee 2025 celebrations.
A prestigious and highly responsible assignment that involves not only the transportation of the statue but also the fercolo (processional cart) and the traditional baiardi (supporting platforms), essential elements of worship and popular devotion. The statue will be in Rome from May 14 to 19, accompanied by an intense liturgical and devotional program that will include visits to places of extraordinary spiritual and cultural significance: the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Church of Saints Quiricus and Julietta, and the evocative procession on May 17 in Piazza Celimontana, during which the statue will be carried on the shoulders of the confraternity members of Maria S.S. Addolorata.
The highlight of the entire stay will be Sunday, May 18, when the statue will cross the gates of the Vatican to be displayed during the entire Eucharistic Celebration and the Angelus.
The logistical coordination, entrusted to F.lli Di Martino, requires meticulous organization, with close attention to religious, technical, and institutional protocols, in close synergy with the Confraternity, the Superintendency, and the Vatican. The entire transport operation will be carried out with the utmost respect for the sacredness of the event and with the professionalism that defines our company.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Rector Giovanni Zodda and the leadership of the Confraternity of Maria S.S. Addolorata for the trust they have placed in us. We are confident that this extraordinary journey, so rich in spiritual significance, will also be a moment of human and professional growth and shared experience.
A special thank you goes to Cavaliere Angelo Di Martino, who has always been a shining example of dedication and openness toward the territory of Enna. His constant commitment stands as a living testament to the strong bond between our company and the local community.
Cavaliere Di Martino has also generously offered his personal support, entirely free of charge, for the coordination and transportation efforts—contributing with great generosity and dedication to the success of this extraordinary event.
With pride and devotion, we prepare for this important occasion, fully aware that we are not merely transporting a statue, but carrying the faith and the heart of an entire people.
