Confindustria, Davide Di Martino new president of the Small Industry Committee
The entrepreneur Davide Di Martino is the new president of the Small Industry Committee of Confindustria Catania. He was elected yesterday during the assembly for the renewal of the corporate offices and will remain in office for the next two years. Supporting the new president will be the deputy vice-president Antonio Perdichizzi (Tree) and the vice-president Pietro Federico (Cavagrande). Forty-two years old, second generation entrepreneur, married and father of two daughters, Di Martino is General Manager of Comer Sud, a company active in the automotive sector since 1980. After attending the first year of University at the Faculty of Economics and Business, he decided to leave Catania to gain professional experience abroad, spending over a year in Germany. This path allows him to acquire fluent knowledge of four languages and basic training oriented towards business management. In 1998, having returned to Sicily, he took over the general management of Comer Sud, increasing the company’s performance and results tenfold in the space of a few years. “In such a difficult phase for the country – stated the new president – our first mission is to help small and medium-sized businesses in the area overcome the crisis induced by the recovery of the pandemic. We need to concentrate our efforts on the issues of administrative simplification, the growth of tangible and intangible infrastructures, the correct use of structural funds, the efficiency of our industrial area, increasingly expanding our membership base. Thanks to the teamwork we will put in place, we will aim to develop projects to bring to the attention of the institutions, strengthening in particular our link with the world of training and innovation”. Davide Di Martino received congratulations and good wishes for his work from the president of Confindustria Catania, Antonello Biriaco and from the president of Confindustria’s Small Industry in Sicily, Salvo Gangi.”
