Christmas for Children at Taormina hospital, gifts to young cardiac surgery patients

The first stop of Christmas for Children will be the San Vincenzo hospital in Taormina on December 16th at 4.30 pm. The project created by D9 Srl, a Di Martino Group company, involves a tour of the pediatric departments of some hospitals in Sicily: Taormina, Catania, Palermo, Caltanissetta and Enna where gifts will be brought to hospitalized children. The first will be the young patients in the pediatric cardiac surgery department directed by doctor Sasha Agati. Santa Claus will arrive, donating not only toys, chocolates and basic necessities, donated by the Arena Group, but also two mini toy cars equipped with every comfort, remote control, gear and reverse gear, but also LED headlights and an electronic display as well as an MP3 player for music. .

The entire medical and paramedical team and the president of the parents’ committee Caterina Rizzo will welcome those present.
The gifts are donated by Knight Angelo Di Martino, president of the Di Martino Comer Sud s.p.a. group to allow children a less traumatic journey from the ward to the operating block, so as to make the journey like a game and avoid the transfer on a stretcher or wheelchair , reducing anxiety in children and detachment from parents. Godmother of this stage is the teacher Irene Puzzo who took an interest in the project by joining the D9 and reporting this specific department, paying attention to the emotions of the children hospitalized in this structure of great excellence in the Mediterranean and nearby Calabria.

A Nissan pick up, provided by the general manager of Comer Sud Davide Di Martino, has been set up with a traveling Christmas scenography and will tour the Sicilian cities bringing the proceeds received from the sponsors to the pediatric departments of the hospitals. The project has as its objective the children who are the protagonists of this Christmas and the desire to support the pediatric cardiac surgery department of San Vincenzo in Taormina, which, through the care provided, manages to bring smiles back to the families of hospitalized children.
